Breakthrough Taps Seasoned Kids’ TV Exec for Sales & Acquisitions

TORONTO: Breakthrough Entertainment has appointed veteran kids’ television executive Caroline Tyre as its senior director of international sales and acquisitions.

In her new role, Tyre will manage sales of the studio’s premium content in Europe, Oceania and South America. She has 19 years of experience ranging from production and development to commissioning and licensing. Tyre has worked at companies such as Entertainment One, DHX Media, the CBC and TELETOON, where she spent five years as the director of programming.

Tyre will report to Craig McGillivray, Breakthrough’s VP of distribution.
