BANFF: The French-Canadian series 19-2, a cop drama that premiered in Quebec in 2011, is set for an English-language adaptation for Bravo in Canada, with the premiere planned for 2014.

Montreal’s Sphere Media Plus and co-producers Echo Media will shoot ten one-hour episodes in Quebec this fall with showrunner Bruce Smith (Durham County) and co-executive producer Jesse Mckeown (DaVinci’s Inquest, Rogue). The original series averaged 1.4 million viewers in Quebec, consistently winning its time slot among adults 25 to 54. The series focuses on the relationship between two patrol officers, to be played by Falling Skies‘ Jared Keeso and Arrow’s Adrian Holmes

"Fuelled by a terrific cast and strong story lines, we’re tremendously excited to add 19-2 to the Bravo lineup," said Catherine MacLeod, VP of specialty channels at Bell Media. "We are confident that our partnership with Sphere Media Plus and Echo Media on this project will deliver a series that audiences will be fully engaged in."
