Blue Ant Media Realigns Leadership Roles

TORONTO: Blue Ant Media has added to its management team and realigned internal leadership roles.

Under the changes, Jamie Schouela, formerly Blue Ant Media’s executive VP of marketing and communications, has been appointed to the newly created role of executive VP of Canadian networks. Schouela is charged with leading the strategic direction of the company’s domestic television and digital properties, including multiplatform content strategy and scheduling, marketing, communications and ad operations. He will continue to oversee relationships with the company’s cable, IPTV and satellite partners nationally.

Vanessa Case, the executive VP of content, is in charge of leading Blue Ant Media’s content strategy, production and programming for the company’s eight specialty channels, and she is now adding to her remit the leadership and strategic direction of its latest brand, Makeful. Case has been tasked with leading this new property in all areas of business. Meanwhile, Marcia Martin, the senior VP of original content at Love Nature, will focus on Blue Ant’s nature and wildlife original content, leading all aspects of content development, production and co-production related to Blue Ant Media’s commitment to producing and distributing internationally 300 hours of original 4K wildlife and nature content annually.

In addition, Simon Foster, formerly Blue Ant Media’s senior VP of digital publishing and business development, has been appointed as the senior VP of corporate development, charged with accelerating M&A. Jesse Dallal has joined Blue Ant Media as the VP of product development, responsible for the development and delivery of high-impact digital products for the company’s core brands. Laura Pearce, who joined Blue Ant Media as the VP of brand strategy and fan engagement, will expand her responsibilities in the role of VP of marketing and digital. Plus, Sam Linton has been promoted to VP of production from her former role as the executive in charge of production. The changes take effect immediately.
