The Asian Pitch (TAP) has announced the three winning projects from this year’s edition of its annual funding scheme.

One of the recipients was Singing in the Wilderness (China), directed by Dong-Nan Chen, about a Miao Farmers Chorus that becomes a national sensation after hiding in the mountains.

From Malaysia comes The Last of the Ring Ladies, directed by Nova Goh, which follows Leng Lagenda’s journey to preserve the Ring Lady Heritage.

The other winner was Paradise Garden (China), directed by Zhi-qi Pan, which tells the story of love and redemption between a mother and her son.

These three projects will be commissioned by broadcasters who will also retain the rights, with Looking Glass International handling international distribution and the TAP catalog.
