Turner Asia Pacific has hired Procter & Gamble alum Jia Salindong-Du as country manager for the Philippines.

In her new role, Salindong-Du will scale Turner’s kids and entertainment business in the country, which includes developing local content opportunities, creating better consumer experiences and expanding the brands’ fan base. She will also support ad sales and collaborate with the consumer products and licensing team for Cartoon Network.

Salindong-Du is additionally charged with the channel distribution of Turner brands locally, including CNN International, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Warner TV. She previously worked in the FMCG industry for ten years.

Vishal Dembla, the general manager of Turner’s business in Southeast Asia, remarked: “Jia has worked in a number of brand-management and business development roles, and she will be an excellent leader for our highly ambitious team in Manila. The Philippines is one of our most important markets in Southeast Asia and, with Jia now in place, we are confident of continued growth there.”
