STAR China Partners with Investment Firm

SHANGHAI: STAR China Media, co-owned by News Corporation, is partnering with the Shanghai-based Puji Capital in a joint venture to invest in and develop international content for the STAR platform in China.

STAR China Media, co-owned by News Corp. and China Media Capital, operates the Xing Kong Mandarin-language entertainment channel in China, as well as Xing Kong International and Channel [V] Mainland China. Its new JV, Puji Star Media, "will invest in internationally inspired TV content and advertising with particular interest in the Americas/Hollywood, Europe, Japan, Korea…tailored for the local Chinese viewers."
