SPT, Hong Kong Cable TV Expand Carriage Pact

SINGAPORE: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia has expanded its carriage partnership with Cable TV in Hong Kong to now include Sony Entertainment Television and beTV alongside AXN and Animax in the basic tier.

“Hong Kong boasts one of the highest pay-TV penetration rates in the region, so we are proud to be broadening our channels portfolio in this important market," said Hui Keng Ang, the senior VP and general manager for networks in Asia at SPT. "While Sony Entertainment Television and beTV each offer their own unique blend of programming, viewers will enjoy the same high level of quality that they have come to expect from AXN and Animax.”

Sony Entertainment Television targets females with drama and reality series focused on fashion, lifestyle, design, food, romance and celebrities, while beTV is a broad general-entertainment channel focused on adults 18 to 34 with drama, comedy, mystery and lifestyle programming.
