NHK & WOWOW to Co-Host 4K HDR World Premieres at MIPCOM

PARIS: Japanese broadcasters NHK and WOWOW are planning to present two 4K HDR World Premiere TV Screenings at the MIPCOM 2016 Country of Honour Opening Party.

NHK will showcase Moribito II: Guardian of the Spirit, while WOWOW will debut Cold Case Japan. The former is the second installment of the TV dramatization of a Japanese fantasy novel saga, while the latter is the first localized version of the hit U.S. crime series.

The Country of Honour Opening Party will be held at the Grand Hyatt Cannes Hôtel Martinez on October 17 at 7:30 p.m. The party will be attended by Kento Hayashi (Moribito) and Yo Yoshida (Cold Case Japan). The 4K HDR World Premiere TV Screenings will take place in a special 4K HDR projection room.
