At NATPE Budapest, CJ E&M is slated to showcase the music entertainment series Golden Tambourine, the food competition The Gobbler Race and the game show Crazy Market.
“There is always an appetite for studio entertainment formats; we are receiving many inquiries [about] studio-based prime-time shows,” says Jangho Seo, the company’s general manager of the global content business division. “We have noticed a growing demand for Korean scripts for local adaptations in Central Europe, so we are in talks with various production [companies] and networks. We are seeing the growing importance of Eastern Europe as the market is opening up for foreign content. We hope to really get the momentum going and continue to enter new markets with various business models and flexibility.”
Seo adds, “CJ E&M is hoping to extend its content sales scope.”
