Japanese Version of Suits in the Works for Fuji TV

Japan’s Fuji TV has commissioned a local version of the legal drama Suits, set to star Yuji Oda (Tokyo Love Story, Last Christmas, Homeroom on the Beachside).

Produced by Fuji TV in association with Kyodo Television, the 11×1-hour series will be set in Tokyo and will premiere in October in the channel’s prime Getsuku drama slot on Mondays at 9 p.m. It will focus on Yukimura Uesugi, one of the four major law firms in Japan.

Oda will lead the cast in the role of hotshot attorney Shogo Kai. Member of Japanese pop group Hey! Say! JUMP Yuto Nakajima (Hope, My Son, Engine) will play the newly appointed associate Daisuke Suzuki.
