HITS Heads to Vietnam

Rewind Networks has struck a carriage deal to launch HITS in Vietnam on K+ on October 1.

The channel, broadcast in HD, will be part of K+’s nationwide DTH and OTT services. HITS will be exclusively broadcast on K+’s DTH service, making it the only DTH operator within Vietnam to carry the channel.

This new pact further strengthens Rewind’s relationship with CANAL+ Group, making this the second market to launch with them. Earlier this year, HITS launched on CANAL+ Myanmar.

“In partnership with Thaole Entertainment, we are very proud to launch HITS on K+, Vietnam’s largest DTH service provider,” said Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks. “Vietnam marks HITS’ tenth market in Asia—the timing of this launch could not be more perfect as the channel looks to celebrate its fifth anniversary [at the] end of this year. K+ viewers in Vietnam can look forward to HITS’ curation of the very best Hollywood television series from the past three decades—an entertainment destination like no other.”

Stephane Baumier, deputy general director of K+, added: “The launch of HITS is part of our channels line-up strategy to bring the best content to our audience. We are confident that, together with our own K+ channels with exclusive sport contents as our main assets, HITS will reinforce our lineup entertainment contents with a selection of all-time great action, family, drama and comedy series from Hollywood.”
