HBO Defined, HBO Hits to Launch in India

SINGAPORE: Two new premium advertising-free channels, HBO Defined and HBO Hits, are launching in India on the DTH operators Dish TV and Airtel Digital TV.

The channels are part of an extended partnership between HBO Asia and Eros International Media. The are available with a free preview in the initial launch phase. HBO Defined is a premium subscription service that is dedicated to showcasing the best of Hollywood and Bollywood blockbusters as well as HBO originals. HBO Hits, also a premium pay-TV channel, is programmed with entertainment with genre-driven anchors and iconic HBO originals.

“The launch of HBO Defined and HBO Hits on Dish TV and Airtel Digital TV will reach out to a wide network of subscribers all over India,” said Jonathan Spink, the CEO of HBO Asia. “Subscribers in India will be able to enjoy a first-class cinema experience that is 100 percent advertising free in the comfort of their own home.”
