DW has boosted its presence in Asia through a partnership that makes its flagship news program available live on free-to-air TV in Hong Kong via ViuTVsix.

Viewers in Hong Kong will be able to tune into DW News, which is now being broadcast Monday through Friday. The program offers expert analysis and full coverage of stories on politics, business, sports and culture.

German broadcaster Deutsche Welle’s flagship channel DW reports on important issues in English 24/7. ViuTVsix is an English-language channel from ViuTV, a domestic, free-TV service in Hong Kong operated by PCCW through HK Television Entertainment Company.

“We hope that this partnership with ViuTVsix will open up new doors to viewers in Hong Kong and throughout Asia,” said Petra Schneider, the director of sales and distribution at DW. “With ViuTVsix, we have found a great partner for our brand of news.”
