Bomanbridge Media has secured an agreement that will see UKTV’s Donal’s Asian Baking Adventure air on BBC Lifestyle in Asia.

Bomanbridge acquired the rights for Donal’s Asian Baking Adventure from Argonon International. The ten-part series is produced for UKTV’s Good Food channel by Denham Productions in partnership with South Korea’s Cen Media and the Korean Communications Agency. The show follows Irish food writer, photographer and TV presenter Donal Skehan as he discovers the flavors and secrets of Asian baking, making stops in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia.

“Following the success of John Torode’s Korean Food Tour, we are excited to be partnering again with Argonon International in Asia,” said Sonia Fleck, the CEO of Bomanbridge Media. “The show is hands-down a perfect match for the pan-regionals who now want that local Asian flavor. It gives a great feel of the region, balancing authentic Asian food perspectives with a Western chef breaking ground in popularity in the Asia Pacific.”

Cecilie Olsen, the senior VP of sales and acquisitions at Argonon International, remarked, “Denham Productions has created a truly inspirational show, and I think Asian audiences will be inspired by Donal Skehan and the local experts on hand.”

In addition, Bomanbridge Media licensed another deal with Argonon International, with Shaun Micallef’s Stairway to Heaven: Gods, Gurus, and the Ganges soon to air on BBC India. Shaun Micallef’s Stairway to Heaven, produced by Artemis International for SBS Australia, follows Shaun Micallef as he heads to India. Bomanbridge Media separately licensed Tuning 2 You: India’s Lost Musicians to BBC India. Acquired from Earth Touch, Tuning 2 You: India’s Lost Musicians features an entertaining journey deep into the forests and villages of rural India with a young artist searching for disappearing music.
