Bomanbridge Media Brings Ballet Titles to Asia

SINGAPORE: Bomanbridge Media has secured sales for several classical and contemporary ballet-themed programs, including Swan Lake, in Japan and South Korea.

Tohokushinsha in Japan acquired the documentary Darcey’s Ballerina Heroines, which features archive footage of famous ballerinas such as Darcey Bussell, Morgot Fonteyn, Anna Pavlova and Rudolf Nureyev. Tohokushinsha also went for Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Imagine: A Beauty Is Born – Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty and The World of Matthew Bourne (also known as Matthew Bourne’s Christmas).

In South Korea, LG U+ picked up VOD rights for Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Imagine: A Beauty Is Born – Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty and The World of Matthew Bourne (Matthew Bourne’s Christmas).

Bomanbridge Media represents the Leopard Films titles in Asia. They are distributed globally by Argonon International. The Matthew Bourne ballets feature dancers from Bourne’s ballet company. The Darcey and Bourne ballets were filmed in the U.K.
