Turner EMEA Taps Digital Content Strategy & Product Head

LONDON: Turner EMEA has hired Marc Goodchild, a seasoned TV producer and digital exec, as its head of digital content strategy and product for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Goodchild will manage the overall content strategy and digital content vision for EMEA, collaborating with all regional content and digital teams. He will also oversee the EMEA Central Digital Team and any third-party digital vendors, provide support and editorial guidance to the local heads of digital, and work with the central research, commercial, ad sales, marketing, PR and franchise management teams.

Goodchild will report to Patricia Hidalgo, Turner’s senior VP and chief content and creative officer for EMEA and international kids’ strategy. He is also charged with building and maintaining close relationships with all key digital global stakeholders, both technical and editorial, specifically with the recently established Digital Ventures & Innovation arm of Turner International.

Most recently, Goodchild served as co-founder and CEO at creative app studio and technology house Gingersnap Studios. He was previously co-founder and CCO at SyncScreen. Earlier in his career, he held a number of senior director, producer and executive positions at Disney and the BBC, and on commissions for Discovery and Channel 4. He was also a digital consultant for a number of indie production companies.
