TRX Appoints Pair of Execs

LONDON: TRX, an online marketplace for secondary TV and video online rights, has hired Raquel Yepes as its Latin America consultant, while Sanaz Roohi joins as head of client services.

Yepes will manage all of TRX’s Latin American content rights. She is an established consultant for companies operating in the LatAm and U.S. markets. Her industry contacts and clients include Disney International, People magazine in Spanish, Bimbo and Pepsi, among others. She has also served as an executive producer for such companies as Plural Entertainment, Zodiak Latino, Telemundo and High Hill Entertainment.

Roohi previously served as VP of international program operations at Zodiak Rights. She joined RDF TV in 2004 before transitioning to its distribution arm, RDF Rights, in 2008 as part of the company’s international program management team. She has worked across all genres and has supervised the delivery of thousands of hours for global distribution.

Yepes remarked: “The way we watch television has changed. Everyday there is more content available and the distribution methods are constantly evolving to ensure the value of that content is maximized. TRX, which will simplify and facilitate the exchange of TV rights, is part of this evolution.”

Matthew Frank, the CEO of TRX, added: “Raquel is a highly respected TV exec in the LatAm market and I’m very flattered she is joining TRX to take care of the signing up of buyer and sellers from this key region. She is incredibly well connected at the highest level and is a key hiring as we roll TRX out around the world.”

“Sanaz is joining as head of our client services team—we worked together for many years at RDF and then Zodiak and I know she is the perfect person to oversee the onboarding of clients to TRX over the coming months. She is simply a delight to work with.”

TRX is gearing up to launch in spring 2016.
