Tim Hincks to Exit Endemol Shine Group

LONDON/AMSTERDAM: Tim Hincks, the president of Endemol Shine Group, is stepping down from his post later this year.

Hincks joined Endemol in 1999 and served in roles such as creative director and chief creative officer before becoming Endemol UK’s CEO in 2008. He became president of Endemol Group in 2012 and was appointed president of the joint venture Endemol Shine Group in October 2014.

Hincks said of his departure: “The last 17 years have been an incredible and exhilarating ride. Playing my part in helping build a world class content creation company across so many countries, genres and platforms has been an honor and a privilege. And working with unrivaled creative teams across the world has been a quite ridiculous amount of fun. But it really is time for a new adventure. It couldn’t have been a tougher decision for me to make and I’m extremely grateful to Sophie for how understanding and helpful she has been throughout the process. And of course I want to thank all my colleagues and friends around the Endemol Shine Group who under Sophie’s leadership, will ensure this company goes from strength to strength. It’s very important for me that I leave this brilliantly all-consuming job first before I consider what the next challenge might be. Following my last day in the office in March I’ll take the time to consider the future and to get round to doing all the things I haven’t had time to do, like remembering my children’s names for example.”

Endemol Shine Group’s CEO, Sophie Turner Laing, said: “The role Tim has played in the success of the business has simply been exceptional. Throughout his time at the company he has combined outstanding creative leadership with a keen entrepreneurial spirit, not to mention a brilliant sense of humor and fun. Though sad to be losing him I do respect his desire for fresh adventures having contributed so much to the company over so many years. He will be greatly missed when he leaves us but will do so with all our very best wishes and heartfelt thanks.”
