Taieb Upped at NVCP France

LONDON/PARIS, December 21: Laurent Taieb has been promoted to VP of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) for France, as part of the company’s efforts to expand its licensing and merchandising operations in the key European market.

In his new role, Taieb will continue to extend NVCP and MTV Networks France’s portfolio of popular brands, managing all local consumer products activities, including tentpole events, development and coordination of the organization’s retail presence. He will also oversee management of day-to-day relationships with agents such as TF1 Licenses and CPLG. Working closely with MTVN France, Taieb will continue to bolster the company’s profile, grow sales and leverage relationships with major partners, including toy, home video, videogame and promotions partners, in conjunction with category heads in London.

Taieb has been managing NVCP’s strategy in France since January 2006. He has helped lead licensing and merchandising efforts for shows including Dora the Explorer, which has spent the last 22 consecutive months as the territory’s number-one licensed property, and has helped position NVCP as the second overall licensor in France.
