Sony Pictures Television has revealed several changes within the senior management of its international production division, including Richard Parsons taking on a new role.

Parsons, who joined Sony in 2012, becomes executive VP of operations for international production. In this new role, he will oversee all operational and commercial matters affecting the group.

Cheryl Lynch has been elevated to executive VP of international business affairs. In addition to continuing to oversee the business affairs teams around the world, Lynch will take on day-to-day management responsibility for all of the team members in Culver City.

Brendan Fitzgerald is joining the division in the new role of senior VP for international co-productions. Fitzgerald previously worked at Sony, at one point serving as senior VP of international production, but left in 2012. He went on to set up Pomodoro Stories.

Angélica Guerra, senior VP and managing director of international production for Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, has been added to the senior management team, along with Sarah Edwards, leading the future formats group, and Carrie Ferman, senior VP of business strategy. The senior management team for international production also includes Laura McGaughey, who joins as head of finance in March.

“There are exciting times ahead for all of us, and I believe our leadership and collective team is perfectly positioned to maximize the many opportunities that lie ahead,” said Wayne Garvie, the president of international production at Sony Pictures Television, in a memo to staff.
