Red Arrow International has snapped up the distribution rights for the new comedy series Squinters, produced by Jungle Entertainment and commissioned by ABC Australia.

Squinters was created by Trent O’Donnell (The Moodys) and Adam Zwar (Wilfred). The 6×30-minute show follows five carloads of travelers in their daily morning commute and again on the drive home to find out how their workdays went. It is currently being filmed in Sydney and Los Angeles, with a debut slated for early next year.

The ensemble cast for Squinters includes Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook), performer/composer Tim Minchin, Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires), Mandy McElhinney (Love Child), Damon Herriman (Secret City), Sam Simmons (The Urban Monkey) and Andrea Demetriades (Janet King), among many others.

Henrik Pabst, the managing director of Red Arrow International, said: “Jungle has a great track record in producing successful, hilarious comedy, and we are delighted to be distributing their latest show. Featuring an impressive cast and creative team, and a universal setting that lends itself to comedy, Squinters promises to be a hit around the world.”
