Nominees Announced for Canadian New Media Awards

TORONTO: The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs), which recognize the achievements of the country’s most innovative digital media companies, have announced the nominees in 19 different categories, with winners to be named on December 1 as part of nextMEDIA Toronto.

The awards spotlight the talents and successes of the country’s interactive media industry. The nominees for Best Cross-Platform Project are A51 Integrated and Smokebomb Entertainment for CTV’s Listener Online Experience; Xenophile Media for Cartoon Network’s Total Drama Island: Totally Interactive!; and National Film Board of Canada’s Waterlife Interactive

MovieSet’s MovieSet.com, National Film Board of Canada’s NFB Online Screening Room and Kung Fu Numerik/Turbulent’s whoweare.ca are up for Best Online Video Portal. In the category of Best Kids Interactive, Tribal Nova for Kids’ CBC Wonder World is up against Fuel Industries for Spark City on AllGirlArcade.com and mod7 for Titanium Chef
