NEW YORK: Nickelodeon has elevated Jennifer Caveza and Jon Roman to leadership roles within its toys and business development group.

Caveza has been promoted to senior VP of toys and business development while Roman was upped to senior VP of boys’ toys and business development. In their new roles, the execs will be charged with establishing new business avenues, managing the company’s relationships with existing partners and maximizing licensee opportunities.

Caveza, formerly VP of toys and games, has managed the global master toy license for Mattel and overseen all master toy partnerships for Nick’s SpongeBob SquarePants property, along with many aspects of the business for the preschool series PAW Patrol. Roman, formerly VP of boys’ toys and business development, has managed the global master toy license for Playmates Toys for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Both execs will report to Pam Kaufman, the chief marketing officer and president of consumer products for Nickelodeon.

“Jennifer and Jon are industry veterans who have significantly raised our game since they came on board, both in terms of identifying new growth avenues for our tremendous portfolio of product and for maintaining key relationships with existing partners,” said Kaufman. “As the appetite for Nickelodeon’s content in the toy industry continues to grow, we’re thrilled to have Jennifer and Jon leading the charge as we expand our footprint in key categories, including consumer electronics, arts and crafts, sporting goods, ride-ons and more.”
