LONDON: Filming has started on the new six-part thriller Rellik, which stars Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones, Fortitude) and Jodi Balfour (The Crown, Bomb Girls, Quarry).

The 6×1-hour series is created and written by Harry and Jack Williams (The Missing, Liar). It is produced by New Pictures and Two Brothers Pictures for BBC One and Cinemax, in association with all3media International, which is handling international sales. Rellik (‘killer’ spelled backward) tells the story of a serial killer in reverse. The perpetrator is caught before the drama moves backward in time to the very beginning.

Harry and Jack Williams, writers and executive producers for Two Brothers Pictures, said: “We are really pleased to be working with the BBC again and to be partnering with Cinemax for the first time. Rellik is a dark thriller tonally very different to anything we’ve done before and we’re looking forward to bringing it to the screen”

Willow Grylls, executive producer for New Pictures, said: “We are delighted to be working with the brilliant Harry and Jack Williams and Two Brothers Pictures on this bold, original and twisting thriller after our successful collaboration of two series of The Missing.”

Christopher Aird, BBC’s executive producer, said: “Jack and Harry are two of the most imaginative TV writers around and we’re thrilled BBC One is home for Rellik, their boldest series yet.”
