NBCU’s Carnival Films Names Joint MDs as Neame Gets Promoted

NBCUniversal International has appointed Gareth Neame as executive chairman of Carnival Films, while David O’Donoghue and Nigel Marchant take on day-to-day leadership responsibilities as joint managing directors.

Neame, who has been acting as managing director since 2004, will continue to lead Carnival’s production pipeline and creative vision within the NBCUniversal International Studios division. The managing director8 role will now be split between O’Donoghue, who has been Carnival’s COO since 2012, and Marchant, an award-winning producer who joined Carnival Films in 2011.

As part of the new structure, Aliboo Bradbury becomes commercial director. Bradbury joined Carnival in 2006 as head of business affairs.

Kevin MacLellan, the chairman of global distribution and international at NBCUniversal, commented, “Gareth has done a remarkable job with Carnival, creating some of the most engaging, award-winning television of all time.
