Mediaset Distribution has signed a deal to present Mega Global Entertainment’s (MGE) catalog through a partnership with CEO Esperanza Garay.

Mediaset Distribution will represent the MGE catalog for the first time at the upcoming market in Budapest. Highlights from the library include three telenovelas and a reality series.

The telenovela Hidden Truths (Verdades Ocultas) tells the story of Laura, a poor mother of two young girls, who is forced to sell her youngest daughter to a rich restaurant chain owner. Another telenovela on offer is Amanda, about a 14-year-old girl who is raped and wants justice. There is also the telenovela Forgive Our Sins (Perdona nuestros pecados), which focuses on a new priest and the daughter of one of the richest men in the parish.

Mediaset Distribution is also representing the reality series Would You Take Your Ex Back? (¿Volverías con tu ex?). The program sees 12 former couples spend time together in an isolated location to take a second chance at love.

Partly-owned by the Chilean network Mega, MGE holds rights for the international distribution of Mega’s scripted content. The new deal between Mediaset Distribution and MGE will allow the companies to distribute their own catalogs in Latin America, Europe and the CEE region specifically. The content portfolio is complemented with concepts from Zona A Entertainment, a Colombian company that represents editorial products for audiovisual purposes, as well as the Mediaset catalog for Latin America.
