Lifetime to Explore Karaoke Competition

LOS ANGELES, June 21: Lifetime has ordered a two-hour special
from the producers of Laguna Beach about
four twenty-something women taking part in a karaoke competition in Southern
California.

Go Go Luckey Productions, the team behind MTV’s Laguna
Beach and A&E’s Rollergirls, will produce Karaoke Superstars for broadcast on Lifetime this November. “The four
women profiled in the docu-film have each reached a turning point, where they
want to explore new possibilities for themselves,” said Jessica Samet, the SVP
of reality programming at Lifetime. “This is an exciting, upbeat drama about
finding empowerment, friendship and personal transformation."
