L.A. Screenings: New from NBCUniversal International Distribution

NBCUniversal International Distribution will be screening the new Magnum P.I., a modern take on the classic series, for buyers next week.

Jay Hernandez takes over the starring role as Thomas Magnum, a decorated former Navy SEAL, who upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum has Juliet Higgins and her Dobermans to keep him in line, as well as his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors TC and Rick when he needs back-up on a job.

Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, New Amsterdam is a brand-new medical drama that follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution’s newest medical director who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. The Blacklist alum Ryan Eggold stars.

From executive producer Amy Poehler comes I Feel Bad, a modern comedy about being perfectly OK with being imperfect. The show, starring Sarayu Blue, has landed a Thursday slot on NBC this fall.

Abby’s is a new comedy about the best bar in San Diego, home to good prices, great company and, of course, Abby.

The Village centers on an apartment building in Brooklyn that appears like any other from the outside but is quite unique inside. The people who reside here have built a bonded family of friends and neighbors.

In the drama The Enemy Within, Erica Shepherd is a brilliant former CIA operative, now known as the most notorious traitor in American history serving life in a Supermax prison. FBI Agent Will Keaton enlists Shepherd to help track down a fiercely dangerous and elusive criminal she knows all too well.

The roster of new shows on offer from NBCU also includes The InBetween, with a story that follows Cassie Bishop, who can see and communicate with the dead, helping them with their unresolved problems. When her longtime friend Det. Tom Hackett and his new partner, former FBI Agent Damien Asante, need help to solve a darkly puzzling murder, Cassie agrees to use her abilities.

Regarding alternative series, The Titan Games is inspired by Dwayne Johnson’s desire to motivate global audiences to reach their potential both mentally and physically. The new reality series offers everyday people the opportunity to step inside the Titan arena and achieve the impossible. Johnson also serves as one of the show’s EPs.
