Jude Troy is leaving her role as executive VP of acquisitions and TV development for Australia and New Zealand at Entertainment One (eOne) to begin producing under her own banner, Wooden Horse.

Troy moved into TV development and production for eOne in 2015, after many years as a film and television executive for the company. She has worked with eOne since the company acquired Hopscotch Films in 2011. Troy’s current slate includes Sex in the West, a six-part drama-comedy for the ABC set in Sydney’s Arab community.

Troy commented: “I am excited about this next chapter in my career. eOne and Hopscotch always fostered an entrepreneurial spirit and afforded me such a fantastic opportunity to hone my craft and expand my networks, enabling me to take this step. Throughout my 15-year tenure I have met and worked with so many incredible and talented people that have mentored and supported me along the way, and I’m looking forward to continuing those relationships in the future.”
