PARIS: The first three keynote speakers have been confirmed for MIPTV 2016: the best-selling author Harlan Coben, Vivendi’s Dominique Delport and Mattel’s Richard Dickson.

Coben is a New York Times best-selling author. His last eight consecutive novels debuted at number one. Harlan’s forthcoming opus, The Five—an original drama for Sky1, produced by the U.K.’s RED Production Company and distributed by STUDIOCANAL—will be the first original story the author has written exclusively for the screen.

Delport is the president of Vivendi Content, the unit tasked with discovering talent and investing in new forms of video and music content for the group’s different brands, including CANAL+, and is also the global managing director for the Havas Media Group.

Dickson is Mattel’s president and COO. Additionally, Mattel has been named MIPTV 2016’s Brand of the Year.

Laurine Garaude, the director of the television division at Reed MIDEM, added, “We’re really looking forward to hearing from these three inspirational keynote speakers, who are contributing to re-defining how content is created, experienced and distributed. They truly embody the MIPTV 2016 overarching theme, the Power of Fans.”
