ESPN STAR Sports Names Executive VP, Head of Sales

SINGAPORE, September 12:
ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has promoted Adam Zecha to the newly created position of
executive VP and head of sales for Southeast Asia, effective immediately.

In his new position, Zecha
will assume an expanded role, which includes two additional portfolios,
advertising sales and the event management group. Charles Less, the senior VP
of advertising and digital media sales, and Harvey Davis, the VP of event
management group, will now report to Zecha.

Zecha, who oversees the
network’s affiliate and multimedia sales, joined the company in 1996 as
director of affiliate sales. He has handled the expanded portfolio with new markets
and additional responsibilities and until recently was responsible for
affiliate and multimedia sales for Southeast Asia as senior VP.

Manu Sawhney, the managing
director of ESS and to whom Zecha will report, said: “Adam has played a very
important role to strengthen our position as the number one sports broadcaster
in Southeast Asia. He has been able to create a very strong foundation for our
affiliate and multimedia sales business”.
