Entertainment One (eOne) has appointed seasoned TV agent Peter Micelli, formerly of CAA, as its chief strategy officer for film, television and digital.

In his newly created role, Micelli will lead the TV and digital content businesses while driving innovative partnerships across eOne. He will set the company’s TV strategy, including sourcing potential M&A opportunities. He will work under Mark Gordon, eOne’s president and chief content officer for film, television and digital, and Steve Bertram, the president for film, television and digital.

Before this appointment, Micelli was co-head of the TV department at CAA, where he represented The Mark Gordon Company, which was fully integrated into eOne last month. He was first hired by CAA back in 1995.

Gordon commented: “Pete was my agent for four years, during which [time] he helped me grow The Mark Gordon Company into a trusted destination for producers, talent and their passion projects. He is an expert at building media companies to become leaders in an increasingly digital and global landscape, and I am thrilled to have him on our team as we continue to fortify and evolve eOne’s worldwide content business.”

Bertram noted: “Pete is one of the industry’s most innovative and respected executives, known for his creative dealmaking and strong commitment to talent. His deep relationships will complement eOne’s entrepreneurial culture as we aggressively build our business around the world.”

Micelli added: “For the past two decades, I have worked on behalf of many of the world’s most talented storytellers, helping create opportunities for their programming to be seen around the world. I am thrilled to partner with Mark and Steve to build a next-generation studio, where artists have greater creative control of their IP and more opportunities to get their projects to production.”
