Endemol Names New Chief

HILVERSUM, June 14: Endemol’s Supervisory Board has
nominated Elías Rodriguez-Viña Cancio as chairman and CEO of the company,
pending approval by shareholders, following Joaquim Agut Bonsfills’ abrupt
resignation last week.

Rodriguez-Viña will chair the company’s management board,
joining its other three members: Tom Barnicoat, COO; Peter Bazalgette, chief
creative officer; and Jan Peter Kerstens, CFO.

He is set to join Endemol from parent company Telefónica,
where he has been responsible for the group’s non-core subsidiaries. Before
that he was CFO of Terra Lycos.
