LOS ANGELES: Electus has revealed a number of promotions at Electus International, while also unveiling several of the company’s highlights for this year’s MIPTV.

Cyrus Farrokh has been elevated to senior VP and head of sales, and is charged with managing the markets of Scandinavia, Asia Pacific, France and Italy. Brad Jorgensen moves up to senior VP and head of worldwide operations. Max Richards was promoted to manager of sales and acquisitions, overseeing sales in CEE, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Paulette Bensussen was upped to head of LatAm distribution and production, where she will handle sales in Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Israel. Nick Wang was promoted to director, responsible for sales in the Middle East.

Among the original and third-party titles that Electus will be promoting at MIPTV is Separation Anxiety—produced for TBS in the U.S.—which is billed as “the game show you don’t know you’re on.” The company will also be talking to buyers about Winsanity. In this series, which airs on GSN in the U.S., members of the studio audience win a prize each time a contestant does. John Pollak, Electus International’s president of global distribution and Electus Studios, says that these game shows “break through a very crowded market because they are unique; they are unlike any game show we have seen rolled out in quite some time.” Food Fighters, also a highlight for Electus, has had two seasons air in the U.S. on NBC and the format has been licensed in a dozen territories. “Each one of these titles stands out because of its truly engaging and one-of-a-kind creative auspice,” adds Pollak.

Other highlights for the company include Canada’s Smartest Person, David Blaine specials, 9/11: 15 Years Later, Cheaters, Swab Stories, Mom vs. Matchmaker, Fameless, Adam Ruins Everything, Almost Genius, Jerusalem, A Murder in the Park, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, Jane the Virgin and Bellator sporting events.

“Our 2016 lineup represents our strong commitment to bringing exemplary programming to the market,” says Pollak. “We are also dedicated to building the best team in the business, and these well-deserved promotions reflect that.”
