Conecta FICTION Reveals Intl. Co-Pro Pitching Session Finalists

Conecta FICTION has unveiled the official selections for the International Co-Production Pitching Session, which is slated to take place on June 21 during the event’s first edition.

Among the ten finalists are Ines of My Soul (Ines del Alma Mia), a romance/history project from Chilevision in Chile; Strange Fishing Sundays (Extraños Domingos de Pesca), a sci-fi drama from Laniakea in Spain; Penumbra, a mystery/crime/adventure from Dynamo Producciones in Colombia/Spain; Amargura Street (Una Casa en Amargura), a historical drama from Ficción Producciones in Spain/Cuba; and Invisible Heroes (Héroes Invisibles), a political drama from YLE Drama in Finland/Chile.

The other finalists are Crack, a crime thriller from StoryLab in Argentina; Madame, a crime drama from Endemol Shine in Israel/Argentina; Sixth Sense High (Colégio do Templo), a youth mystery from beActive Entertainment in Portugal; Love in Times of Tinder (Amor en Tiempos de Tinder), a romance/comedy from Belle Films in Puerto Rico; and Malinche, The True Conquest of an Empire (Malinche), a historical drama from Eureka TV in Mexico.

These ten projects, which were selected from 70 submissions, are at various stages of development. Along with six Spanish projects from the SGAE Foundation already selected, they will be presented to key players from the audiovisual industry during Conecta FICTION for the chance to receive a development contract from either Movistar+ or RTVE. Movistar+ and RTVE will each announce the title of the project they are giving a development contract to on June 22, during the screening premiere.
