Big Night for Mozart in the Jungle, Mr. Robot at the Golden Globes

HOLLYWOOD: The Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle and USA Network’s Mr. Robot each took home two Golden Globes last night, for best TV comedy and drama, respectively.

Their networks, Amazon and USA, were also the only ones to score more than one win.

On the performance side, Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm was named best actor in a TV drama, while Gael García Bernal of Mozart in the Jungle won on the comedy side. Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson was the winner for best actress in a TV drama, and Rachel Bloom of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for best actress in a TV comedy.

The winner for best TV limited series or TV movie was PBS’s Wolf Hall. Oscar Isaac won for best performance by an actor in this category for Show Me a Hero, and Lady Gaga took the win on the best actress side for American Horror Story: Hotel.

Supporting nods for a series, limited series or TV movie went to Maura Tierney for The Affair and Christian Slater for Mr. Robot.

In film, The Revenant won the night’s big award, for best motion picture drama. The Martian won in the same category for musical or comedy. Performance awards were given to Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant and Brie Larson for Room in drama and Matt Damon for The Martian and Jennifer Lawrence for Joy in comedy.
