Apple Inks Overall Deal with Kerry Ehrin

Apple has signed writer/producer Kerry Ehrin (Bates Motel, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) to an exclusive, overall development and production deal.

Ehrin is also taking over as showrunner of the morning-show drama executive produced by and starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston and produced by Media Res. Apple and Media Res have parted ways with original showrunner Jay Carson due to creative differences.

Most recently, Ehrin served as co-creator, executive producer and showrunner of Bates Motel. She has lent her creative talents as a screenwriter for 20 years in TV and film, most recently on the hit series Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.
