Ananey Communications Group has tapped Omri Marcus as VP of content for lifestyle channels.

Marcus will be working under Co-CEO Sharon Lemberger. He will manage the group’s lifestyle department, which includes The Food Channel, Health Channel, Travel Channel, The Good Life Channel and Style Channel, as well as the recently launched online lifestyle site goodiz.tv and other digital initiatives.

Heralded as “Israeli TV’s Wunderkind” by Tablet magazine, Marcus was recently serving as the CEO of the Israeli-Palestinian tech company TCGP. He was formerly a development partner at Red Arrow International, where he developed formats in multiple genres. He is also the founder and creative director of Comedy for a Change, an international conference focused on the power of comedy to drive forward social change.

“TV is going through the most fascinating turnover the medium has ever seen,” said Marcus. “Along with the digital world, there are endless possibilities. The lifestyle channels are one of the locomotives of that change and I’m excited to join Israel’s leading company, which combines the Israeli spirit of innovation both in storytelling and in tech.”
